Main Responsibilities

 

Be a member in GTP-India site management team and in an active way contribute to the development of the India Site & India supply base You will be responsible for managing the relationship with Suppliers by driving operational & business reviews You would drive and lead the Purchasing activities in accordance with defined strategies and targets Ensure right suppliers are sourced thro proper sourcing governance and Sign agreements with suppliers according to Group authorization directives You will be responsible for mitigation activities for all Supplier Quality, Delivery, Cost & Feature issues Ensure KPI fulfillment and performance results Engage with suppliers to tap and leverage on innovation / new technologies by periodically conducting supply market intelligence You will be responsible to drive all sustainability initiatives thro suppliers by enabling cross functional ideas Drive department activities towards wanted position Secure needed communication with cross functional teams Drive cross functional collaboration to bring best value solutions for Volvo group from supply partners Ensure close collaboration with strategic line on global responsibilities Secure supplier involvement in project activities and manage escalations Manage QDCF- TSR targets of the supplier Manage resources by attracting, recruiting best talents, manage competence development and retain competent resources You will be responsible for compliance in accordance with the Volvo processes, the Code of Conduct and the Volvo Values.

 

Competence & Experience

University degree in Engineering/technology and/or Business Administration Good communication skills Strong people management skills with solid ability inspire and motivate team Good negotiation & interpersonal skills Able to execute in a multi-cultural organization Anticipate & act quickly and directly. Provide direct & actionable feedback Able to handle uncertainty and the unexpected. Holds things together during tough times Take good decisions in line with internal stakeholders, with risks and opportunities and alternative solutions in mind Able to manage diversity and offer opportunities for personal/professional development Able to build an effective team with a common objective and strong morale and spirit Knowledgeable in current and future business, business models, technology and markets trends Innovation mindset
