Sites Network Communications

The Opportunity
As the Head Communications | Sites Network Switzerland, you will be responsible for driving communications to help deliver on local as well as the broader Sites Network strategy and key priorities. Leading a team of approximately ten site communicators, your role includes building a strong communications network across Swiss Sites and the broader Swiss communications community. This will ensure optimal support to Sites Basel/Kaiseraugst and Rotkreuz, enhancing our business value. You will act as a strategic partner, coach, and advisor to the Sites Network in Switzerland, guiding and enabling your teams to proactively position Roche sites with both internal and external audiences, building and shaping Roche’s reputation.
You drive change with proven ability to influence business leaders and Communications professionals to achieve desired outcomes. You take on collective leadership responsibility to jointly deliver on an integrated Sites Network Communications strategy which supports the broader Sites Network strategy and vision and aligns with Group Communications goals.
To deliver on this, you proactively drive and rely on effective teamwork and collaboration with the Sites Network Communications leadership team and the broader Communications community, developing and maintaining a strong network across the global Sites to define objectives, approach and areas of focus. You work across the network to pull in expertise to help achieve business objectives. Your key responsibilities include:
Provide direction and leadership to the SNC CH teams to plan and deliver integrated communications strategies, narratives, and campaigns,enabling them to translate the business and Group Communications vision and strategy into relevant projects and initiatives to address local needs
Align SNC Switzerland strategy, goals, and objectives with overall business priorities; enable impactful external and internal communications, as well as local crisis and issues communications to position the Sites Network Switzerland as a valuable partner locally and globally.
Establish and maintain integrated communication planning, including measurement against objectives.
Enable teams to build strong relationships with local media and enhance the Sites’ reputation and business impact.
Maintain a broad-based knowledge of the organization and its operations, using insights, metrics, and expertise to diagnose topics with a wide range of complexity as well as stay abreast of internal and external developments and industry trends relevant to the Sites Network
Who You Are:
10+ years of experience in communications, government, or public affairs, preferably in the pharmaceutical, diagnostics, or related industry, or PR agency experience supporting healthcare clients.
5+ years of people management experience is strongly preferred.
Excellent influencing and negotiation skills: ability to drive impact through skillful collaboration and influence without authority.
Demonstrated ability to present to and coach senior company executives/audiences.
Self-motivated: capable of navigating complex stakeholder matrices and thriving in a non-hierarchical, self-organizing environment.
Fluent in both German and English (verbal and written).
Minimum Master’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
