About the Role:

 

Reporting to the Chief General Manager Corporate Affairs, you will champion our mission of building trust and enhancing AAL’s reputation by leading and delivering positive social change for our customers and the community, while meeting relevant regulatory and legislative requirements for human rights.

 

Other key aspects of the role:

 

Developing and leading a social issues program of work, as part of AAL’s environmental, social and governance strategy, with a focus on building trust and enhancing our reputation with our customers and the community. Developing, monitoring and continuously improving the Human Rights program of work to ensure AAL is an industry leader while meeting evolving local and global legislative and regulatory requirements, including the Modern Slavery Act 2018 and German Supply Chain Act. Enhancing, governing and leading a corporate citizenship strategy for AAL that builds trust and confidence with our customers and the communities in which we operate. Developing and maintaining community partnerships that drive measurable social impact and enhance our brand value. Leading community engagement and investment activities that engage our employees around our brand including volunteering and fundraising opportunities, employee events and capability building. Collaborating with global peers, charity partners, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO) and industry stakeholders to identify strategic opportunities and ensure AAL’s approach is informed by best practice.

 

Important to your success:

 

Tertiary qualifications in business, social sciences or similar or significant experience in a customer advocacy or insights role. A demonstrated passion for making a difference for people across our employees, customers and communities. Significant experience leading projects within a complex and heavily regulated medium to large organisation. Comprehensive understanding of relevant social, regulatory and/or legislative compliance expectations including the Modern Slavery Act 2018 and German Supply Chain Act. Significant experience leading organisational change and transformation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact and influence. Highly developed consulting and influencing skills, demonstrating the ability to co-create strategy and valuable analytical solutions with key internal and external stakeholders.
