Job Description

Join Takeda as a Head of Strategy & Operations, Analytics & Insights out of our Cambridge, MA office.  We are seeking a dynamic, visionary leader to join the newly formed Commercial Analytics & Insights (CA&I) organization as Director of Strategy and Operations. This highly strategic and impactful role will work closely with the Head of CA&I and its leadership (CA&I LT) to drive performance, introduce new capabilities, improve operational efficiency, and bring cultural alignment during a transformative period as we centralize all BU and CoE Analytics and Insights teams into a unified organization and
mindset.


The ideal candidate will combine strategic vision, exceptional problem-solving skills, and an enterprise mindset with the ability to inspire teams, foster a culture of collaboration, and lead initiatives that standardize processes and elevate capabilities. This individual will be instrumental in driving key initiatives and innovation, supporting cultural transformation, and ensuring organizational success in a fast-evolving A&I marketplace.


This leader will be a member of the CA&I LT and will be responsible for the following:

How you will contribute:Design and implement programs, processes, and best practices to enhance operational effectiveness, standardize workflows, and drive overall efficiencies across the newly formed CA&I.Partner with stakeholders, partners and vendors to plan, implement and manage CA&I operational initiatives, including business planning and capability roadmap activities.Lead leadership team meetings, financial reporting, KPI tracking, team events, town halls, etc.Serve as a strategic thought partner, in a confidential capacity, with the CA&I LT providing executive support on complex problems and initiatives. Work with finance partners, vendors and CA&I leaders to ensure budget is effectively managed across the CA&I. Identify areas for process improvement and innovation and then implement changes that will enhance the overall effectiveness of the team.Serve as a key connector within and across CA&I and USBU to ensure alignment with enterprise-wide priorities and cross-functional initiatives.Drive collaboration and coordination with matrix partners.Champion CA&I culture and engagement, fostering camaraderie and collaboration,
connectivity, and a "one-team" mindset across diverse teams and stakeholders.Lead and oversee special projects tied to strategic priorities, ensuring seamless cross-functional communication, effective project planning, risk management, and realization of benefits.Coordinate efforts to drive and socialize the evolution and implementation of the CA&I KPIs and success factors.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:BS/BA degree required; MS/MBA preferred.10+ years of business experience required with minimum of 5+ years’ experience in project management, operations and Analytics & Insights roles.Proven experience in strategy, operations, or leadership roles preferably within analytics or in life sciences industry; strategy consulting experience is a strong plus.Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and driving transformations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with executive presence and ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Ability to work independently and collaboratively, strong leadership and organizational skills, and able to drive multiple projects to successful, timely completion in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.Forward thinking with a passion for fostering innovation and a culture of continuous improvement; help identify gaps and opportunities to drive innovation through capability building initiatives.Occasional domestic overnight travel may be required

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$169,400.00 - $266,200.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. 

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
