Your role and responsibilitiesWe are looking for an accomplished and dynamic professional to join our team as the Head of Supply Development. In this role, you will lead and drive the development of our supply base, ensuring the highest quality and capabilities for our marine propulsion products. Your strategic leadership will guide a team of six specialists, fostering continuous improvement and innovation in our global sourcing processes and methods.If you are passionate about leading teams, driving supply chain excellence, and contributing to innovative marine propulsion solutions, we encourage you to apply for this influential role.The location for the position is in Helsinki, Finland.The work model for the role is hybrid: #LI-hybrid.You will be mainly accountable for:• Leading the development of the supply base for marine propulsion products.• Leading the development of the supplier quality and capabilities for marine propulsion products.• Leading continuous improvement of the global sourcing processes and ways of working.• Leading a team of six specialists working with supply development.• Assessing and evaluating our current suppliers’ performance and potential new supplier candidates.• Managing the ramp up of new suppliers.• Leading complex development projects in sourcing and supply base.• Leading complex negotiations with our suppliers.
Qualifications for the role5-10 years professional experience from working in supply chain management or sourcing in international company. Excellent leadership and negotiation skills. M.Sc in Supply Chain Management or Logistics. 2-5 years’ experience from leading teams in multinational and multicultural environment. Experience from successfully developing the supplier’s quality assurance processes and knowhow. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Capability to manage several stakeholders and suppliers. Strong project management capabilities. Proficiency in English language.Valued but not required: Previous experience from leading complex projects in supply chain. Previous experience from successful execution of supply chain development strategy. Previous experience from production transfer projects. Lean six sigma certification. Lead auditor certification. Technical knowhow in one or more of the following areas: castings, machinings, forgings, weldings, electrical components and products, automation systems.
