Job Title: Head of Taxation - IndiaReports to: Chief Financial Officer / Chief Accounting OfficerLocation: MumbaiJob Summary:We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Taxation to lead our tax function in India. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of taxation, including direct and indirect taxes, transfer pricing, and tax planning. The Head of Taxation will ensure compliance with Indian direct and indirect tax laws and regulations, minimize tax liabilities, and provide strategic tax guidance to support business growth.Key Responsibilities:Managing complete tax portfolio of the business (direct and indirect taxes)Formulating tax policies and tax planning of the businessHandling of all direct and indirect tax matters on day to day basisFiling of all direct and indirect tax returns (monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns)Handling tax assessments, queries, appeals etc and close monitoring of all the open tax matters (both direct and indirect tax)Handling various appeals at different assessment levelsClose coordination with various tax consultants and with internal/statutory auditors Support for tax assumption for various bids/financial modelRequirements:A Chartered Accountant having minimum post qualification experience of 12-15 yearsDemonstrated expertise in Direct and Indirect Tax compliance, return requirements, and assessments.Experience within the media and entertainment sector is highly advantageous.In-depth knowledge of Indian tax laws, regulations, and procedures.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Experience in managing tax teams and developing tax talent.Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
