Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
Define and own the overall testing strategy and roadmap to support business objectives and Technology roadmap .Align testing activities with project milestones, ensuring smooth system implementation and post go-live support.Team Management:
Build, mentor, and lead an internal testing team, transitioning knowledge from contract resources to permanent staff.Foster a high-performing culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.Testing Delivery:
Oversee all testing phases, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Market Acceptance Testing (MAT).Quality Assurance:
Establish and enforce testing standards, methodologies, and best practices.Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and maintain testing frameworks, tools, and processes.Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate risks to system quality, ensuring compliance with regulatory and security requirements.Provide clear reporting on testing progress, defects, and overall system readiness to senior stakeholders.Post Go-Live Support:
Lead ongoing testing efforts post any go-live activity, ensuring the system remains reliable, compliant, and optimised.Required Skills and Experience
Industry Expertise:
Extensive experience in the London Market Insurance sector or general insurance, with a solid understanding of its systems, workflows, and regulatory environment.Leadership and Team Building:
Proven ability to build and manage high-performing testing teams, balancing internal talent and external resources.Testing Proficiency:
Hands-on experience with modern testing tools, automation frameworks, and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).Strong track record in delivering end-to-end system testing in large-scale transformation projects.Stakeholder Engagement:
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.Analytical and Problem-Solving:
Proficient in identifying testing gaps, analysing system risks, and providing practical solutions.Certifications:
