Head of Workforce Management for Digital & Technology
Guardian’s Digital and Technology (D&T) organization is undergoing a transformation to drive the growth and future strategy of the business. As Head of Workforce Management, you will be a part of the exciting shift we are making! In partnership with the D&T leadership team and our HR partners, this role will play an important part in defining the future state workforce and capabilities. The position focuses on defining the workforce strategy including the development and growth of our technology talent and leading the team to drive the execution including implementation and monitoring. The program will encompass the initiative to kick-off the execution and the ongoing capability build-out including the definition of key skills and capabilities, learning academies, strategic workforce planning (pipeline and utilization) and staying in tune with industry trends and best practices in workforce planning. **You are** A collaborative leader with proven experience in strategic workforce planning initiatives and someone who is excited to be a part of the transformation of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technology skills and roles and have experience with organization design programs. They will possess a blend strategic thinking, executional excellence, power to influence and be passionate about creating impactful change for the organization. **You have** + Bachelor’s degree with 10-15 years + Strategic planning lens with drive for execution + Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to effectively develop alternative solutions and make recommendations + Excellent communication and influencing skills with various audiences and stakeholders across executive, peers and direct reports + Experience working in an organization undergoing transformational change and the ability to support, drive and influence the change agenda to achieve the expectations + Ability to apply scenario planning techniques to identify trends, forecast outcomes and guide the organizational strategy, accounting for risks and opportunities + Managed change processes related to organizational shifts including engaging key stakeholders and building support for the change efforts **You will** + Act as a key contributor to the Digital & Technology business strategy by ensuring workforce capabilities are aligned with the company’s growth objectives. Translate workforce insights into actionable business strategies that drive the future state of the organization + Establish workforce strategies and target state goals and partner with technology leaders to translate into specific, actionable and time-based plans + Regularly engage with senior leadership to ensure alignment between workforce strategy and business priorities. Analyze and present to the leadership team on workforce planning insights, data and trends to forecast future needs, gaps, and opportunities for upskilling and reskilling + Partner with technology leaders to identify areas of risk in the workforce and develop mitigation plans to address. Collaborate with Digital & Technology leadership to ensure that workforce strategy and planning is a core component of strategic initiatives and provide insights into how workforce dynamics influence and support business goals + Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the workforce planning initiatives on business outcomes, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with goals + Define an overall approach and vision for a learning capability plan that aligns to our future state workforce. Collaborate with executives and leadership to understand the needs and shape the program requirements. Lead the team to establish a workforce upskilling academy to support the learning needs of the organization. + Oversee, expand and set strategy for onboarding programs for early talent and other talent pipelines to ensure alignment with the organization’s growth and transformation strategies + Create and implement comprehensive strategies for the growth, development, and transition of key talent within the Digital & Technology organization. This includes fostering leadership development, succession planning, and managing planned exits to ensure organizational continuity and capability enhancement. Partner with HR to develop career roadmaps and pathways aligned to the future workforce strategy. + Stay up to date on workforce planning technology trends and incorporate into the future state organization **Reporting Relationships** This role will report to our Head of Strategy, Planning & Governance for Digital and Technology. **Location** The primary location for this position is New York, NY or Holmdel, NJ. **Salary Range:** $174,760.00 - $287,102.50 The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
