HEAD PASTRY CHEF Company Multinational Luxury Cruise Line with ports of call in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Asia, India, Arabia, South America and Caribbean Position description Responsible for Pastry operations.Pastry and Bakery Production .To ensure guests satisfaction by providing guests with the highest quality product, by monitoring and supervising the overall preparation of the dessert and pastry production and Baker. Review of Pastry/Bakery food items in inventory, control weekly consumption of production to insure food cost is achieved.
Review all food items to be ordered for the Pastry and Bakery Department with the Executive Chef and Provision Master. Approve all food requisitions for pastry and Bakery Departments.Is responsible for completing evaluations for the crew members that work in the Pastry and Bakery Departments. Is responsible for scheduling of all crew members working in the Pastry and Bakery Departments. Position requirements - Diploma from a recognised apprenticeship program, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years expereince in a similar environment, 2+ years supervisory experience with in a 4-5* hotel.
- Banqueting facilities or Fine dining Restaurant
- Culinary diploma and specialist patisserie qualifications
- Fluent English mandatory.
Position salary Competitive Salary paid in 2900 € net monthly aprox., including accommodation, meals, joining and return flights paid by the company.Enthusiastic working environment where merit, skills, enhancement of potential and adherence to corporate values are rewarded.
