Description We are offering a contract for a contract to hire opportunity for a Head Teller in West Roxbury, Massachusetts, United States. In this role, you will have the responsibility of overseeing daily branch operations, managing branch personnel, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The role involves overseeing branch performance, managing day-to-day operational tasks, and supervising teller staff. Key responsibilities include evaluating branch productivity, handling back-office tasks (ACH, draft processing, IBanking, and debit cards), and ensuring audit, control, and compliance standards are met. The position also requires direct management of tellers, including training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions. Additional duties include assisting with regulatory compliance, preparing reports for the Vice President/COO, supporting strategic initiatives and special projects, and collaborating with the lending and accounting departments. The role is responsible for enforcing credit union policies and procedures and may also involve other duties as assigned. This is a multifaceted operations-focused position with leadership and collaboration responsibilities. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years experience as a teller or in a similar role • Proficiency in cash activity including bank transactions, withdrawals, and bank deposits • Experience in managing cash drawers and performing cash handling duties • Ability to provide top-notch customer service • Knowledge and experience in bank account reconciliation and bank reconciliations • Demonstrated ability to handle cash deposits efficiently and accurately • Excellent understanding of bank operations and transactions • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • High level of accuracy and attention to detail • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure • Proficiency in using banking software and systems • High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
