REQ12732 Head Therapist, Spa (Open)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Head Therapist, Spa ensures that all guests receive treatments and services in line with Company’s standards of excellence. Treatments may include facials, massage, waxing, manicure, pedicure and / or hair services.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides a level of service that exceeds all guest expectations by carrying out treatments in a consistent manner and in the time allocatedPerforms all treatments as specified in treatment training and treatment procedures. Responds to all guest requests in a courteous and efficient mannerPerforms training on treatment procedures, techniques and service flows to the therapist team Arranges refresher training from time to time whenever the operation is not busy Builds and maintains a client base and maintains updated client records at all timesProvides confident support to the retail area by providing clients with useful home care products and adviceWorks closely with other Business units to ensure Spa & Recreation facilities achieve the highest possible conditions while operating efficientlyFrom time to time, the Head Therapist, Spa may be provided with additional tasks to ensure maximum efficiency as well as creating personal growth, duties may include assisting the Spa Managers and also in other sections of the SpaPerforms treatments for VIPs, medias and important guests invited by PR or marketing team or high management. Demonstrates treatments for media events or amu promotion events organized by PR or marketing teamPerforms monthly stock takings and purchase requisitions, while monitoring stock levelsMaintains all public, common and heart of house in the Spa areas ensuring they are clean and free of risks including using appropriate cautionary signage to alert guests and fellow staff of potential risks as required (including Spa common areas, Treatment Rooms, Salon, Pool and Gym areas)Provides turn-around service for treatment rooms in accordance with established procedures and practicesCollects and keeps record of Spa & Recreation laundry and ensure that it is delivered to the Laundry teamMonitors the status of all equipment and notifies the Manager, Spa and Supervisor, Spa if there is any maintenance or repair needs requiredEnsures effective and cooperative liaison between Therapists and Receptionists. Acts as a support to colleagues by performing other tasks as necessary, such as reception duties, stock count, unpacking of stock, etcEnsures that confidentiality and/or discretion is always maintained regarding guest’s information and activitiesAdheres to all company policies and proceduresReports accidents, injuries, unsafe work conditions and / or security issues to the superiorsPerforms other reasonable job duties as assigned by superiors from time to time

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

3-year or above working experience with minimum 2-year in senior position and with spa experience is a must

Education

High school diplomaRelevant Spa / Beauty qualificationFirst Aid certificationsCertification in different massage (including Thai, Lymphatic, Deep, etc.)ACSM Level ½ or a formal qualification in a fitness related field.Cidesco/ ITEC qualification

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skillsPossesses strong organizational and time management skillsExcellent command of English and Greek with business writing skillsAbility to work on flexible shift including overnight, weekends and holiday on rotation basis
