Salary is negotiable based on experience. Employer will assist with relocation costs. This is a full-time position leading an NCAA Division II volleyball program in the competitive Gulf South Conference. The program boasts a rich history including 15 conference championships as well as an updated locker room in August, 2023.Expectations include, but are not limited to, development and implementation of a successful NCAA Division II intercollegiate volleyball program.
Responsibilities include all aspects of recruiting and retention of student-athletes, budget management, practice and game preparation and execution, adherence to institutional, Gulf South Conference and NCAA rules and regulations, supporting the vision and culture of the CBU Athletics Department, and other duties as assigned. This position carries no teaching or secondary responsibilities in other areas.
This position reports to the Director of Athletics and must be able to develop positive relationships with faculty, staff, students, media, alumni, and boosters while interacting successfully with department personnel and the College community.
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education with previous experience as a coach or assistant coach at the high school or collegiate level. Excellent communication and computer skills required. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education and collegiate coaching and recruiting experience.
