This role is tasked to implement occupational safety, health, and wellness programs in the workplace in accordance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) Standards and Pollution Control and Environmental Management (PCEM).
This role will also drive compliance to corporate standards and define and implement William Hill owned standards supporting the protection of health & safety of our colleagues & other stakeholders in accordance with local laws & regulations.
What you will be doing:
Maintain OSH and PCOEM metrics and KPIs and analytics on a regular basis and identify opportunities to further improve safety and health on the higher level. Maintain and monitor OSH and PCOEM projects and activities financial Work closely with the Facilities and Admin Manager / OSH Chairman to direct and monitor compliance to local occupational Health laws: assesses any issues confronted and formulate a solution which is not only functional but economically feasible and practicable Respond to and investigate Health and Safety concerns and complaints from colleagues / stakeholders and work with the Occupational Safety Committee for appropriate action Investigate accidents and injuries that occur in the workplace Work with Occupational and Health Committee to define, implement and facilitate the process for assessing occupational health management system and develop OSH programs as relevant to the statutory requirement Managing and directing the activities of the various departments that will be involved in emergency response and recovery Lead and guide the other company appointed Safety Officers and Emergency Response Team Members (ERT) Lead the submission of OSH DOLE Audit requirements during DOLE inspections Lead the submission of DENR-POEM Audit requirements during DENR or Local LGU Sanitation inspections Identify opportunities for program and standards improvements, and work with local Workplace Solutions teams to develop and implement solutions and outcomes Develop and manage vendor relationships in relation to Occupational Health & Safety and POEM requirements as needed Support global initiatives to establish corporate occupational health and environmental management standards and principles Monitor, track and report budget, and other financial reporting activities in relation to Health and Safety and Environmental Management Projects Enforce adherence to policies, laws and regulations governing the health and safety of employees. Act as Pollution Control Officer (PCO) for WHG in charge of proper handling of hazardous waste and materials in compliance with relevant laws and statues by the Department of Energy and Natural Resources Review, evaluate, and analyze work environments and programs & procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury caused by chemical, physical, and biological agents, or ergonomic factors. Serve as secretary to the Occupational Health and Safety Committee and comply to Bureau of Working Condition (BWC) and/or Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) reportorial requirements Act in advisory capacity on safety and health matters for the guidance of all employees. Conduct health and safety and environmental management training programs and trainings, health, and safety inspections, gather data in cases of incidents/accidents together with other members of OSH Committee. Organize and run the OSH 8-Hour Mandatory Training as part of the New Hire On-boarding requirement Maintain an efficient accident record system and coordinates actions taken to eliminate accident causes. Aid Occupational Safety & Health Committee in the conduct of safety and health inspection, accident investigation or any other related programs Prepare and submit various reports, documents, and forms in relation to Occupational Safety and Health and Environmental Management compliance Update contact information of key personnel of both internal and external team resources. Maintain Confidentiality of sensitive documents Manage the roll-out of the company-sponsored vaccination programs i.e., flu, pneumonia, anti-covid-19, et. al. Manage the company Clinic services, personnel, and operations Liaise with Building Property Management with the bi-annual roll-out of the Fire and Earthquake Drill Attend and actively participate in DOLE or DENR sponsored trainings that will broaden his or her knowledge and skills in running the OSH & POEM programs Other activities that may require by the Facilities for other special projects
What we are looking for:
Education and Occupational Experience:
Bachelor's/College Degree preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering At least four (4) years HSW/Safety Officer experience, required; At least 2 to 3 years’ work experience from a BPO industry Actual experience as S03 for at least four (4) years Background in Facilities Supervision/Management preferred
Certifications:
Certification in conducting and certifying OSH 8-hr Mandatory training HSW Lead/Manager requirements as prescribed in DOLE Department Order No. 198 Series of 2018 (Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act No. 11058 entitled “An act strengthening compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Standards providing penalties for violations thereof” DENR-PCO DENRA Administrative Order No. 2014-02 on Revised Guidelines for Pollution Control Officer Accreditation. Completed the forty (40)-hour OSH training course Completed eighty (80)-hours of advanced/ specialised occupational safety training course relevant to the industry Completed aggregate of three (320) hours of OSH Related training or experience Complete the forty (40)-hour training requirement for the PCO Accreditation of Designated PCOs

Experience in as a company Designated-PCO required Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and demonstrated skills in database management, reporting and record keeping Effective organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills required A demonstrated willingness to engage in professional development activities to develop and improve new and current skills, and to adapt to the evolving needs of the organization. Has experience in Identifying Hazards and environmental health and safety Working knowledge of emergency and safety procedures Proven working knowledge of regulatory requirements in relation to Safety and Health Auditing Skills Effective coaching and interpersonal skills Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality Ability to cope with complicated situations and tasks in dynamic environment Ability to respond positively and adapt to changes in tasks, procedures, work location and shift schedules
