Role Summary: The Health, Safety, & Environmental Affairs ManagerĀ“s primary responsibilities include leading the HSE efforts at our manufacturing and service facilities throughout a defined geographic region. Safety is a foundational element of our operational excellence and a key aspect of the people first culture we are building within Flowserve. This position is responsible for driving an HSE mindset and the right person will have a true passion for delivering beyond metrics and compliance to foster an accountable and engaged culture of HSE.
Responsibilities:
The Manager, HSE assists in developing and implementing programs, procedures, systems, technologies, and standards that ensure the health and safety of human and physical assets and environmental stewardship at company operations within her/his assigned region. Specific duties include but are not limited to:
Drive accountability for HSE at all levels in the organization
Partner to provide direction, guidance, and oversight to assigned facilities and their leaders, ensuring compliance at a minimum and going beyond to drive performance to Zero Incidents and Zero Emissions
Influence leaders and employees alike to prioritize safety for themselves, their teams, and their customers
Assess facilities fairly and consistently and partner to help continuously improve Safety Maturity scores
Investigation of incidents and accidents, ensuring the Accountability Matrix is applied to ensure consistent and effective corrective actions are taken
Engagement in environmental activities at Company locations in partnership with Global Sustainability and Environment Manager
Expert consultations for the environmental, safety, health, industrial hygiene, and fire prevention activities at assigned Company locations
Development and administration of education and compliance programs concerning federal, state, and local regulations regarding all applicable and Flowserve standards, general HSE programs
Developing HSE and sustainability continuous improvement projects and providing guidance on implementation
Auditing and reporting on safety, health, environmental and fire prevention compliance at assigned facilities.

Requirements:
Direct Health, Safety & Environmental Affairs experience
Proven track record of influencing outcomes without hierarchical authority
Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
ISO 14000, ISO 41000, NOM, OSHA, SPHERA
- BS or BA Degree in relevant field and 5-10 years relevant experience
