Health and Safety Project Manager
**Job Overview:** APTIM seeks a highly motivated Health and Safety Project Manager to participate in the development, management, and implementation of a variety of **health and safety compliance** support projects driven by federal and state Occupational Safety and Health Administrations (OSHA) and local fire codes throughout the United States. This role will primarily support clients within the **_Retail_** market but may also include other client markets such as logistics, hospitality, state & local, food & beverage, utility and manufacturing commercial client markets. The successful candidate will safely and profitably manage health and safety compliance projects to client expectations from proposal through execution to invoicing and be able to effectively manage and mentor less experienced staff. **Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:** + Managing **_Retail_** client projects from proposal through execution and Invoicing. + Managing project budgets from $10K to over $100K. + Managing project staff. + Interaction and cooperation with **_Retail_** client and the client's staff, vendors, contractors. + Developing and executing various work scopes while maintaining project schedules and budgetary goals. + Performing technical health and safety work as needed. + Supporting the pursuit and hiring of subject matter experts in order to bolster APTIM's bench strength and increase APTIM's competitive advantage. + Adjusting work priorities to quickly changing site conditions and project schedules + Interpretation/evaluation of regulatory and scientific data. + Providing technical support to projects in all phases of work and a variety of environmental compliance scopes. **Basic Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree in a core science (such as safety science, industrial hygiene, chemistry, etc.), occupational health and safety, engineering, environmental science, or related area preferred. + 10+ years of relevant experience in health & safety consulting or work experience. + Prior experience or training regarding health and safety compliance and related federal and state regulations desirable. + Strong experience in project management. + Strong written and oral communication skills. + Strong computer skills required. Must have a demonstrated strength and proficiency in Microsoft applications such as MS Excel, MS Word, SharePoint Online, etc. and the ability to learn other software applications. + Experience with creating industrial hygiene sampling plans and conducting sampling as needed. + Willing to work in the field and travel to complete work. + Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification required. **Desired/Preferred Qualifications:** + Certified Industrial Hygienist certification strongly preferred or willingness to pursue this certification. **ABOUT APTIM** APTIM is committed to accelerating the transition toward a clean and efficient energy economy, building a sustainable future for our communities and natural world, and creating a more inclusive and equitable environment that celebrates the diversity of our communities.
