As EHS Coordinator you are going to demonstrate leadership in communicating Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and enable customers to meet business goals.
What do we want to know about you?
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (in environmental, safety, industrial, chemical, or mechanical engineering).At least 3 additional years of experience in an EHS role.Strong analytical skills.Fluent in English ( 70%).Knowledge of environmental regulations (Federal and Coahuila state).Prior experience in process / industrial engineering.Strong oral and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.What will your typical day look like?
The EHS Coordinator develops practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals. In this role you will be responsible for work that is less defined in scope, utilize your understanding and experience to execute business objectives, and could affect short-term and some long-term business leading and lagging indicators.
Utilize understanding and experience to execute business objectives.Provide technical expertise on Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) issues, ensuring procedural compliance on site safety and working closely with the team in the implementation of all EHS promotion programs and incident / accident investigations.Develop and implement EHS programs and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.EHS Regulatory Training.Conduct regular inspections and implement required corrective actions.Perform industrial health and hygiene sampling and resolving concerns on industrial health and safety issues.Develop, provide, and conduct training and education programs to reinforce EHS awareness.Implement programs for the recognition, evaluation, and control of physical and chemical hazards.Evaluate new processes, chemicals, and equipment to ensure compliance before usage in the facility.Coordinate plant security measures for the safe protection of employees and company properties.Liaise with local authorities to ensure regulatory compliance.What about the physical demands of the job?
