Job DescriptionUnder the direction/supervision of the clinical team, you will perform direct patient services tasks.
Accountabilities:
Assisting with patient transfer/care, patient temperatures, weighing and utilizing aseptic techniquesAccommodation and support services responsibilities including:Comprehensive cleaning, preparation and disinfection of dialysis machinesPreparation of dialysis pre-packages, waste removal, linen, and restock of suppliesTransporting equipment and supplies with solution and maintenance of a safe environmentQualificationsPersonal support worker certificate from a recognized Canadian Community CollegeKnowledge of aseptic techniquesCurrent CPRRecent related experience with chronically ill patients including knowledge of the complex needs of the dialysis patientMust have recent experience in dialysis machine preparation including priming and disinfectingExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsFlexibility to meet unit needsAbility to work well with team membersBasic computer skills and knowledge of Meditech systemExcellent attendance, punctuality and work record requiredAbility to travel between and work at all Osler sites as requiredMust demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and CollaborationAdditional InformationHours: Currently days/Evenings, 8 & 12 hours including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)
Salary: 2022/2023*
Minimum: $28.53 per hour
