The Health Coach’s role will be to co-develop personalized wellbeing for Northern Arizona Healthcare colleagues by inspiring and supporting them to maximize their potential. This role embodies the tenants of professional health coaching; unconditional positive regard, developing autonomous motivation, building on strengths, and accountability. Responsibilities Client Care* Unparalleled commitment to client confidentiality, not only keeping what was said in confidence but ensuring that the identity of your clients is confidential.

* Engage individuals with empathy, clarity and care providing coaching, education and support.

* Provide personalized care that recognizes and honors the whole person, including cultural background, physical and social environments, race, ethnicity, and sexual orientation.

* Engage, support, and retain clients by establishing strong rapport, demonstrating empathy, and consistently going the extra mile to deliver compassionate, solution-focused sessions.

* Comfortable coaching face-to-face, via video, telephone, or by email.

* Assists clients with the following topics: weight management, tobacco cessation, stress management, sleep, nutrition, physical activities, finances and other health and lifestyle behavioral changes.

* Owns a case load of clients by tracking all follow-up, notes, and appointments in an organized fashion and reporting statistics monthly.

* Collaborate with other health professionals and support integration on client/patient care plans.

* Refer cases needing more intensive management to the appropriate professional.

* Successfully completes coaching sessions within established timeframes.

* Documents coaching sessions with all clients/patients within 72 hours via written email.

* Expert in community resources and the employee benefit plan and can share this information with clients effortlessly.

* Read and respond to text and email communication with all constituents within 24 hours of receipt during working days.

Facilitate groups of colleagues when appropriate.

 Event Participation and Coordination* Collaborates with Lifepath to coordinate and participate in wellness activities including annual health fairs, monthly wellness events, and annual challenges.

* Willingness to teach, learn and be open to new and innovative ways of delivering prevention intervention services.

* Facilitate innovation with colleagues to build employee engagement.

 Communication* Strong and efficient written communicator.

* Sharp critical thinking skills, actively contributing to team meetings and discussions to drive collective success.

* Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple clients and responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.

* Comfort with technology and web-based software tools, willingness to learn new software to improve client experience.

* Design communication strategies for all our colleagues, especially focusing on remote, hybrid and off-site colleagues. These communications are broad and include written, visual, audio, and video leveraging available technology.

* Subject matter expert in wellness with the ability to create content that provides insight, interest and impact.

* Customizes and delivers presentations for hospital departments, new nurses' orientation, staff meetings, and to general staff.

* Maintain communication platforms with updated events and opportunities.

* Speak at New Colleague Orientation to attract new members into the Lifepath program.

Stay current on all organization and department communications.

 Project Management* Designs, coordinates and facilitates employee and community projects (including presentations) when a need is identified and prioritized.

• Demonstrate the ability to create and deliver lifestyle management and disease risk reduction programs that help participants make a lifestyle change to improve overall health.

• Design and deploy outcomes-based wellness experiences including timelines, budget recommendations, and communication strategies.

• Align and attain measurable department goals that also support organizational strategic goals.

• Identify problems, gaps, challenges and opportunities that move wellness programs from good to great.

• Deliver results-oriented programs that can be felt by the people we serve.

• Serve as knowledge expert in multiple dimensions of wellness (e.g., physical, emotional, nutritional, social).

• Co-partner with departments promoting wellness initiatives (e.g., Heart Health Month, National Nutrition Month, Sleep Week, Men's Health Week, Cyber Security Month).

• Expect new and innovative projects to be assigned as the needs of the department and organization shift.

 Compliance/Safety* Responsible for reporting any safety-related incident in a timely fashion through the Midas/RDE tool; attends all safety-related training programs; performs work in a safe manner; monitors work environment for possible safety issues and ensures others are also performing work in a safe manner.

* Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee's area of responsibility.

* If required for the position, ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates.

* Completes all company mandatory modules and required job-specific training in the specified time frame. Qualifications EducationBachelor's degree in health related field (Nursing, Physical Therapy, Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Dietetics, Health Education, Health Promotion/Wellness)- Required
Master's degree in relevant field (Health Education, Public Health, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Social Work)- Preferred Certification & LicensuresCoaching certificate from an accredited program- Required ExperienceMinimum 1 year experience with lifestyle health coaching- Required
3-5 years experience with lifestyle health coaching- Preferred

Healthcare is a rapidly changing environment and technology is integrated into almost all aspects of patient care. Computers and other electronic devices are utilized across the organization and throughout each department.
