Job Description Health Economics Solutions Manager

The Health Economics Solutions Manager, (HESM), utilize their evidence-based health economics expertise with IDN targeted accounts to provide solutions to customers’ top health care challenges. The HESM will focus on applying evidence-based prevention and treatment strategies for Molnlycke  product portfolio. The HESM develops and supports the sales execution pull through, evidence-based health economic tool development and execution with targeted IDN’s, individual hospitals, post-acute care sites, and VA facilities as a collaborative partner to with sales teams in conjunction with Strategic Accounts as managed by the Manager of Health Economics. Additionally, the HESM will coordinate with Molnlycke in the development of key opinion leaders and professional relationships to utilize the evidence-based health outcomes protocols and economic tools that influence change and accelerate the sales cycle with field sales.

 

The HESM will:

• Partner with top account leadership to drive Molnlycke solutions

• Implement and track customized solutions to improve the customer’s financial position

• Develop and design mutually beneficial solution / program to improve a customer’s risk profile through Clinical and Economic Outcomes

The HESM will deliver on annual objectives that meet and exceed sales goals, while improving clinical and economic outcomes. This strategic focus will assist in delivering successful large account management goals and objectives that the HESM will have collaborative goals and accountability for.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Works in targeted accounts to support the Molnlycke US businesses in the development and delivery of the Economic message and Value Strategy to the C and D Suite and other high-level decision makers.

• Collaborates with MHC teams to engage executive level leaders at strategic accounts to improve access for MHC products and solutions.

• Partners with segmented/targeted IDN’s, hospitals, and GPOs to demonstrate the clinical and economic impact of Molnlycke product solutions and value-added services.

• Manages in-market delivery and support of budget impact models, value calculators, value messaging, outcome validation reporting and the interpretation of the economic impact of Molnlycke products.

• Accelerates the sales cycle by partnering with customers to validate the use of Molnlycke solutions to ultimately win, grow and protect business.

• Works closely with multiple functional areas, including Sales, Marketing, Clinical, Finance, National and Strategic Accounts to develop and deliver health economic evidence, solutions, and value strategy to hospitals, IDNs, and GPO partners.

• Contributes to internal cross functional project work as a subject matter expert with the goal to further expand the Molnlycke solutions value message.

• Serves as a subject matter expert for health economic education, quality outcomes analysis & validation, and CMS policy.

• Conduct education and support launch across business areas for HE Tools (such as Budget Impact Model, Cost Effectiveness, Outcomes based tools). Proficient and serve as resources for utilizing “Base Case” platform for MHC value tools.

• Partners with the clinical team to drive the generation of clinical and economic evidence by identifying and supporting Quality Improvement Projects to expand the Molnlycke product evidence portfolio.

• Provides strategic analytical support to sales teams for the development of economic and value strategy messaging for key decision-making systems to drive the adoption and implementation of Molnlycke products.

• Demonstrates fiscal responsibility in the management of time, travel, and resources related to business.

• Participates in advanced level educational opportunities to enhance his/her own knowledge and skills.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree within nursing , health policy, health care administration, business administration, or health care related field required from accredited college/university;

• Advanced degree preferred

• 6+ years’ experience in a customer facing health care role in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry, preferably in an outcomes related role

• Experience in Acute and Post-Acute, Wound care, Surgical care with emphasis on evidence-based outcomes is strongly preferred

• Ability to analyze, monitor and develop real world evidence materials and economic tools utilizing previous experience in health outcomes with collaborating experts

• “C and D” Suite customer facing experience

• Demonstrated track record expertise in Reimbursement account mandates in acute and post-acute settings (e.g.: Value Based Purchasing, HAC reduction, Readmission Reduction, IMPACT act)

• Competency with Microsoft Professional Suite of products including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, Acrobat Adobe, and other applications, preferably at an advanced level;

• Collaborative experience with sales personnel and multiple organization levels

• Comprehensive competencies of medical device knowledge in the wound care and surgical care industry; preferable experience with reducing pressure ulcers and hospital acquired infections

• Experience in obtaining Promotional Approval, (PARC) or other related approval programs for customer facing tools.

• Ability to represent Molnlycke at Conferences, and Symposia.

• Requires up to 50% travel

 

Compensation and Benefits Information 

The salary range for this role is $113,600 - $142,000 per year and this role is eligible for bonus.
