The Division of Public and Behavioral Health: Public Health Preparedness is recruiting for a Health Emergency Preparedness Evaluator in Carson City, NV. The Health Emergency Preparedness Evaluator plans, develops, implements, and evaluates a comprehensive statewide public health preparedness and response training and exercise program aimed at enhancing the emergency preparedness competencies and skills of the statewide public health workforce. This position will be in the Public Health Preparedness Program within the Division of Public and Behavioral Health. Incumbents develop and implement a multi-year exercise plan and schedule in accordance with federal agencies requirements. Incumbents also research, analyze and evaluate courses, reference materials, trends and various formats of training and exercise programs available. This position is also responsible for preparing progress reports that are disseminated to upper management at both the Division and with Federal Agencies, as well as any other interested parties.
