Fraser is seeking a Health Information Management (HIM) Coordinator to provide support to the Health Information Management Department. This person will release information, chart audits, specific data analysis, procedural, and diagnosis coding. The Health Information Management Coordinator will provide excellent customer service with empathy, helpfulness and in a caring, professional manner.

Requirements: 

RHIT/RHIA in HIM or related field preferred but not required. Or have HIM experience.  Commitment to promoting diversity, multiculturalism and inclusion with focus on culturally responsive practice, internal self-awareness and reflection. 

Responsibilities:

Proactively analyzes incoming/outgoing documentation to ensure compliance requirements are met. Responds to inbound/outbound documentation requests. Ensures the accuracy and quality of information release requests through analysis prior to release. Retrieves electronic documentation from electronic health record upon request. Acts as a primary resource related to Health Information requests and collaborates with clinicians to support client needs.
