Health & Safety Coordinator

Job Description 

As a member of the Health & Safety team, you will play a key role in supporting the ongoing development of our Global Corporate health & safety program. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, become a subject matter expert at our Global Home Office, urgently respond and react to reported incidents, organize and conduct trainings, and have strong communication skills.

This job is located at our Distribution Centers in Columbus, Ohio.  

What Will You Be Doing? 

Ensure the business is compliant with all health & safety regulationsMonitor health & safety risks and hazards; advise on how to correct and/or mitigatePartner with cross functional teams to meet health & safety objectivesSet up and arrange all required health & safety training and orientations necessary across the businessInvestigate and determine root cause for all accidents/near-misses and provide solutionsOrganize data and identify trends; maintain necessary databases relative to safetyDrive a safety-oriented culture through engagement activities, championing our program at all levelsDevelop content and drive safety committee meetingsConduct Job Hazard Analysis and safety audits

What Do You Need To Bring? 

Bachelor’s Degree or related experience  1 year of professional experience in equivalent role preferred, H&S training can also be provided if hiredMulti-lingual preferredAbility to travel domestically, potentially internationallyAbility/desire to work fully onsite (not a remote role)Ability to work independentlyExceptional organizational and communication skillsExcellent communication skills and project management capabilities, with ability to communicate effectively at different levels of the organization across functions and geographiesAbility to adjust quickly to a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks and work well under pressureAbility to quickly establish rapport, credibility, and trust within + outside of the organizationAdvanced PC skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI
