Manufacturing Unit Manager

Your role and responsibilities

• Serves as the primary HSE interface within their assigned area of responsibility and cultivates a high performance culture with a strong focus on HSE• Management and development of employees in occupational safety and related specialist areas such as sustainability and the company medical interface• Oversees and drives sustainability, health and safety activities in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50.001 14.001 and 45.001 and is accountable for the certification in audits• Oversees HSE risk assessment conducted by the line management and ensures all necessary preventive measures against the identified hazards are implemented• Ensures the HSE incidents are reported to the management and relevant stakeholders and takes appropriate actions• Drives behavioral change through the local implementation of and business-specific performance improvement programs and practices• Give guidance to the team to execute sustainability projects• Embeds an exemplary health and safety culture and a strong focus on the environment across their respective organization• Reports HSE performance and progress with respect to the implementation of the group-level HSE objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as required

Qualifications for the role

At least 5 years of experience in the field of HSE (more experience is welcomed)Experience in managing a cross functional teamMaster in Health, Environment, Safety and Sustainability or a related fieldStrong Process Improvement & Optimization skillsProject managementKnowledge of general Finance and budgeting processesStrong sense of safety, compliance and sustainabilityFluency in German, good knowledge of EnglishBeneficial: knowledge in electrotechnical requirements for organizations
