What You Will Do:

This is an exciting position for a Health & Safety Manager to join QTS Data Centers during a period of unprecedented growth leading to an exceptional professional development opportunity.  QTS is seeking an early H&S career professional in the Eemshaven area with experience in occupational, environmental, health, and safety.  Must be capable and willing to be hands-on with supporting the continued development of QTS’s environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs.  Under the direction of QTS’s VP Facility Property Engineering team partnering with the US EHS Team, the candidate responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned.Providing environmental, health, and safety support to data center management to ensure compliance with state and local regulationsInstructing and mentoring employees on suitable health and safety practicesConducting routine facility inspections and assessments to recognize, identify, and mitigate potential EHS concerns and hazardsDeveloping and maintaining EHS-related metrics for tracking and reportingIdentifying and proposing corrective actions and solutions for EHS hazards and risks identified during assessmentsSupporting and overseeing the preparation and submission of appropriate regulatory documentsProviding oversight of data center environmental permits to support compliance with all permit application and reporting to meet regulatory requirementsLead investigations of incidents and near misses to identify root causes and help management develop corrective actionsMonitoring potential exposures to certain chemical and/or physical hazards to determine the need for, and establishment of suitable controlsSupporting written EHS program development and updatesPromoting a culture of awareness and empowerment for driving sound safety performanceAttending seminars/workshops for further educational development

WHO YOU ARE:

2+ years of direct EHS related experienceHBO degree (Integrale Veiligheidskundge or Middlebare Veiligheidskunde preferred)Working knowledge and experience in general industry health and safety processes, procedures, and requirementsComfortable in both Dutch and EnglishMay be required for regional support.  Estimated at 10-25% travel.

WHAT WE OFFER:
