The Opportunity

We are looking for a Health and Safety Project Specialist who will provide general and specialist health and safety advice. The role will be supporting Arup’s project teams establishing effective H&S arrangements on projects and ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory duties, such as the CDM Regulations, the Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act.

The Health and Safety Project Specialist will play a pivotal role in guiding project teams to navigate and mitigate design-related risks.

You'll be instrumental in establishing robust health and safety arrangements, shaping project plans, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

Your expertise will drive safer project outcomes, from contributing to new bids to training designers and crafting essential H&S documentation. If you're passionate about integrating safety into innovative design, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a real impact.

Is this role right for you?

We are looking for people who:

Have relevant industry experience and technical expertise in Construction, Built Environment and/or Infrastructure development within a business support environment. Have expertise in delivery of a broad range of CDM/H&S related advice with substantial design risk experience in construction and infrastructure-related disciplines. Have knowledge of ISO 45001, 14001 and 9001, BS 8670 and associated standards and PAS. Are chartered professional, or seeking chartered status (e.g., CMIOSH, CMaPS or chartered engineer). NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety or Health and Safety Management.
