Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance in your assigned area of responsibility to cultivate a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE. Each day, you will support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge and offering solutions and advice. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring effective risk management through HSE excellence along the ABB value chain.The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-HybridThis role is contributing to the Process Automation Marine and Ports Division of ABB, Singapore.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tActively engages as subject matter expert and collaborating with Electrical Safety Champion (ESC) network, including regular meetings and an annual conference.•\tSupport the local division manager in implementing ECAP Program for employees involved in electrical activities by conducting ECAP assessments and Triennial reviews based upon the requests•\tReporting HSE incidents to the management and relevant stakeholders and taking appropriate actions.•\tFacilitating, assisting, and providing guidance on incident investigations to learn better ways for mitigating risks.•\tProviding feedback to the management and employees on lessons learned and best practices from within their own unit and across ABB.•\tSupporting and driving behavioral change through the local implementation of group-wide and business-specific performance improvement programs and practices.•\tEnsuring that the appropriate HSE-related equipment and tools are available and used effectively
Qualifications for the roleYou are highly skilled HSE specialist with around 5 years of relevant experience ideally in electrical related environment.Ability to demonstrate your understanding of the electrical work processes undertaken by persons within the responsible divisions.Qualified at least to ECAP Level 3 EAP, with potential to become Level 4 SAP.Familiarity with the type of equipment used and operated by yourself and your colleagues.Ability and confidence to put together short presentations and deliver them to local managers, supervisors, and colleagues.Good understanding of ABB’s electrical safety requirements and local/international standards and be able to advise colleagues and managers as to the requirements is a good advantage.You are at ease communicating in English and able to influence others.
