Job Overview The Health Services Coordinator will be responsible for health and medical service coordination for new refugee arrivals, including ensuring compliance with domestic medical screenings, primary care establishment, and overall healthcare navigation. This position is charged with maintaining service provision and contract compliance for Health Services for Reception and Placement, Matching Grant, and Refugee Support Services clients. This position will also assist in health-related data collection for monitoring and evaluation of the specified program, as well as staff and intern supervision and partnership development. Major Responsibilities: • Assess biodata and medical records of new refugee arrivals to determine priority of cases for care coordination, referral to services, and healthcare orientation. • Provide care coordination to ensure acute client needs are met in a timely and culturally appropriate manner, including sending referrals to available programs and services as needed. • Coordinate initial medical screening for new refugee arrivals and act as main contact for medical providers and the Department of Economic Security (DES). • Regular program oversight including monitoring/auditing of documents, records, and tracking tools for program case files and reporting. • Develop and implement strategies to enhance community outreach, engage stakeholders, and expand medical service providers partnered with IRC. • Provide medical service providers’ training sessions to increase health equity for underserved populations, including refugees, immigrants, and migrants. • Track activities and compile data to ensure donor deliverables are met, including drafting reports as required by donor and agency specifications. • Provide supervision to various health services staff, AmeriCorps, volunteers, and interns. • Ensure coordination, development, and implementation of health literacy training activities for clients. • Participate in program meetings and staff development activities. • Other duties as assigned. • Comply with all IRC policies, procedures and protocols including adherence to the IRC Way and Child Safeguarding. Key Working Relationships: Position Reports to:Senior Health Program Manager Position directly supervises:Health Services Caseworkers, AmeriCorps, interns and volunteers within program Indirect Reporting: Other Internal and/or external contacts: Internal:IRC staff, interns and volunteers External:Community partners, sub-grantees, stakeholder partners, state refugee health coordinator, DES, DCS, medical providers Job Requirements: • Undergraduate degree in public health or health-related field preferred; comparable related work experience may be substituted. • Proficiency in written and spoken English skills; bilingual ability preferred. • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented. • Strong problem-solving skills. • Ability to effectively communicate and work as a team member with collaborative partners, the community, and clients in a cross-cultural, multi-disciplinary environment. • Computer literacy, database experience • Ability to prepare accurate and timely reports. • Ability to work independently and be a flexible team player. • Must have a valid AZ driver’s license, active insurance policy and access to reliable transportation. • Must possess or be eligible to receive a fingerprint clearance card. Working Environment: • A combination of standard office environment, remote work, and ‘field’ time within the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities. • May require occasional weekend and/or evening work Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
