Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Health System Application Lead.

In this role, the successful Epic Application Lead meets or exceeds the accountabilities of the Senior Analyst 2 role. As the first step in the leadership ladder, this position is accountable to their Manager and/or Director for delegation and oversight of deliverables and completion of tasks as assigned. They are also responsible for facilitation of integrated processes and workflow changes across the enterprise, and to optimize the software based on a deep understanding of workflow and system impact. This role will actively engage in ensuring consistent standards and efficiency across the system. This role will oversee and prioritize work, with a focus on strategic planning of team resources. The Epic Application Lead demonstrates a significant level of expertise in integrated workflows and build to assist and mentor the analysts on the team. They will act as owner of projects. This position provides effective business and operational guidance and support, including communicating with and prioritizing with operational stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

Participate in disaster recovery measures.

Work with appropriate parties to identify change implications, project priorities, target audiences and messaging techniques.

Establish and maintain open lines of communication among the project tracks, teams, and users.

Work with the project leadership team to develop and maintain work plans, and status reporting for the Epic Integration projects.

Support the Director in managing day-to-day activities of the team against scope and timeline, and ensures timely reporting of activities to the project managers.

Lead and participate in the development, review and delivery of project deliverables

Collaborate with other application leads and project managers to ensure processes and other technical solutions are effectively integrated.

Ensure the test scripts have been created, reviewed, and updated to reflect proposed workflow solutions.

Facilitate the identification, documentation, research, and resolution of project and related project issues.

Provide support to internal and external customers.

Meet frequently with analyst team

Meet Frequently with Operational partners and ensure the team is meeting deadlines and deliverables

Contributes to annual performance reviews.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Strong written and oral communication skills. Advanced analytical skills and experience implementing Epic applications.
Strong interpersonal relationship skills. Good process design experience. Demonstrate ability in staff mentoring and adherence to process standards around documentation and workflow design. Basic project management skills (ability to
lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts, maintain issues list, manage project plan). Ability to lead discovery initiatives to identify appropriate system solutions.
Bachelor degree, and 3-5 years of related work experience are required.
Epic certification in lead application required.
Healthcare experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Additional workflow certifications preferred.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $117,107.95 – $158,219.84 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
