Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will plan, implement, manage, assess, and monitor Social and Family Support programs designed to increase quality of life for service members and families. You will ensure programs being designed and implemented are consistent with command mission, goals and policy. You will provide projected training requirements for initial contracting as well as for contract modifications and option years. You will provide direct support services to the command and families, including assistance with obtaining and training Social and Family staff. You will provide program management and contract oversight for a program that provides respite childcare to spouses of those who are deployed, away on training, killed in action or during periods of illness or injury. You will represent the Social and Family Support Program at flag level meetings and briefings. You will advise on resource requirements such as, budgetary, personnel, space, equipment, and provide input and direction on the outline and context of plans. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Working across organizational lines and assisting in the development and establishment of programs, regulations, and management techniques and practices that ensure efficient and hight quality management of the program. Examples of qualifying experience: implementing various levels of marketing of programs based on use and demand signal; proactively forecasting variations of services needed for subpopulations and groups with unique needs; and using program goals and objectives to develop short and long-range program policies. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Education Requirements: Successful completion of a undergraduate or graduate degree with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration. Special Provision for Inservice Placement: Successful completion of an agency-sponsored on-the-job training program may be substituted for qualifying experience, provided it included a formal individualized training plan. Such a training program must have been conducted in an operating health care system and included: Assignments providing a knowledge of basic health system administration philosophies, practices, and procedures, and basic government administrative policies and requirements; Practical assignments providing an opportunity to apply health system administration skills and principles (as the individual progresses, work assignments must be characteristic of the grade level to which he or she is assigned); and Oversight by an experienced health system administrator with periodic evaluation of the individual's progress and appropriate adjustment of the training program.
