Health Unit Coordinator , Observation Unit

 

Key Responsibilities

Assist the licensed nurses. Perform basic nursing care tasks and supportive duties in the acute care setting. Functions as the focal point of communication for the Observation Unit Independently assures that all secretarial duties are carried out Assures the efficiency of the unit by assisting in non-nursing ancillary duties Responsible for order entry and any clerical support needed Coordinates diagnostic testing and facilitates admissions to the floor Acts as a liaison between the patient, their family, nursing staff and physicians

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent BLS certification required Medical terminology & knowledge of EMR highly desirable Previous clerical/receptionist experience in acute care Nurse Aide Certificate or current experience in bedside care in a long term or acute health facility preferred Good Communication skills and skilled in customer service Reliability and flexibility

 

Pay Range:  $18.64- $21.50

Starting Rate: Based on experience
