In an environment of continuous quality improvement, the Health Unit Coordinator is responsible for functions in the operating room to ensure the efficient management of the daily surgery schedule.  Is responsible for all clerical functions including the preparation of patient charges.  Maintains communications within and between nursing units and central supply. Exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times.

 

Job Functions:

Practices Service of Excellence. Prepares and completes patient charts, charges, enters orders and schedules procedures(professional/technical).  Completes required competencies. Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
