What to expect.
Using Lean, Six Sigma, business analysis, and quality management methodologies, you will plan, lead, and facilitate continuous improvement projects in support of Sheppard Pratt’s goals.
Performance Improvement
Identify variance and potential performance improvement opportunities in clinical and operational processes. Refine critical processes by performing process mapping, value stream mapping, and information flow in current state. Perform various analyses (what-if, cost, etc.) to identify potential areas of improvement. Establish processes and tools for data collection at the task level for units, time study, and waste. Develop documentation standards for implemented process improvements. Develop metrics to demonstrate improvement impacts, process performance, and quality improvements. Drive a culture of safety/huddle engagement organization wide.Leadership
Oversee continuous improvement projects from inception through conclusion. Lead practical problem-solving efforts to identify root causes and develop and implement solutions. Facilitate group events in a variety of transactional and operational settings.Communication
Collaborate effectively with stakeholder across the organization from entry-level employees to executive leadership. Work directly with stakeholders to understand needs, assess performance, identify gaps, and develop and drive improvement initiatives. Act as a change agent in interactions with stakeholders to affect a culture of continuous improvement.What you’ll get from us.

Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, systems engineering, healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field. Professional Lean and/or Six Sigma certification. Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Minitab, and Tableau. 3 years of experience in healthcare. Demonstration of excellent communications skills, including the ability to present, influence, and collaborate with leadership.
