The incumbent will assist in supporting the on-boarding processes to ensure new health care (HIT) providers/partners are prepared to electronically exchange medical records following eHealth Exchange standards. Activities include the following:
Gather, organize and store on-boarding vendor partner registration information: this effort includes gathering information submitted by the Exchange participants in Word or Excel files, organizing the information into a standardized format and storing the information on designated share drive.
Facility research: this effort includes preparing details on the healthcare facilities for each partner.
Provide Interoperability testing support for HIT Exchange Participants (partners) in the Test, Integration, and Production, environments. Work with the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to provide assistance to define test scenarios for Interoperability testing.Work with the SMEs to develop test scenarios and related multiple test cases.
Structural and syntactical testing of Sample and Verification CCDs and other CDA documents (i.e. C32 and C62).
Participate in weekly On-Boarding Partner Calls. This includes working with staff and HIT Partner technical teams to prepare new HIT Partners on to the HIT Exchange.
Diagnose and provide assistance to the resolution of Production Issues after Exchange partners are implemented.
Skills Requirements:
Healthcare:
Experience with health information technologies, including HL7, ICD9, SNOMED.
Familiarity with CCD validation (excellent understanding of HL7 CDA and CCD is essential).
Possess a working knowledge of health IT standards, including Integrating the Health Enterprise (IHE) Infrastructure Profiles and those standards adopted by Health Information Technology Standards
Panel (HITSP).
Possess a thorough knowledge of eHealth Exchange CONNECT specifications.
General:
Candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills, be confident and reliable.
Proven ability to assume ownership and willingness to take on responsibility and manage tasks to completion.
Minimum experience and education: Candidates with a BS degree must have the minimum of 11 years or 132 months of work experience specific to the job description.
If a candidate has a Master’s degree, they still need a minimum of 11 years or 132 months of work experience but only nine years or 108 months of experience specific to the job. The other work experience to meet the 132 months does not have to be IT related.
Work experience while in college can be counted toward the overall years.
If no degree, work experience may be substituted.
Background clearance: All candidates selected will have to go through a Federal government background check prior to being able to start. Generally, the background process takes between 3,4 or 5 weeks. The time is dependent on how quickly the candidate is able to complete the paperwork.
Candidates will obtain a Public Trust clearance upon approval.
