Joining Marie Curie as a Healthcare Assistant has never been as exciting! 

 

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. You will be a member of the Multidisciplinary team providing high standards of evidence-based person-centred care for patients at UHP, including assessing and understanding the personal care and support needs of patients and those important to them, planning and providing person-centred care based on the individual need. 

This role will require you to be kind, caring and empathetic as you will work with the person and those closest to them to ensure the voice, needs and views of the person being cared for are heard in a meaningful way, recognising and protecting vulnerable adults and children.  

As a Healthcare Assistant, your duties will include monitoring and assisting in maintain patients’ skin integrity and personal hygiene, conducting nutrition assessments, attending to comfort needs to assist with rest/sleep, provide support with mobility, monitor vitals and overall promote and maintain a clean and tidy care environment.

What we’re looking for:  

Someone who understands the importance of prioritising a patients care, comfort and privacy   A clear, appropriate and sensitive communicator who can make informed decisions in a timely manner, confident in having difficult conversations   A passion, knowledge and understanding of how to deliver person centred care   The ability to remain calm in stressful situations   Recent experience in caring for and supporting patients at the end of life.   Experience working within a Multidisciplinary team, assisting in curating individual assessments and advanced care plans.   NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care OR an equivalent alternative Level 2 Qualification
