Responsibilities

Join Wipfli as a Healthcare Coding Consultant II, where collaboration meets innovation. Responsibilities:

Examine and improve healthcare coding processesReview and interpret complex medical data for accuracyCollaborate with cross-functional teams to align coding practicesEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulationsEngage in continuous learning of coding technologiesOversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all aspects are delivered on timeMonitor and control project budgets, making sure that expenses are kept within established limitsWork collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to achieve project goalsConduct regular project reviews and provide status updates to senior management Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 2 -3 years of healthcare coding consultative experience required or 5 – 8 years of Hospital and Professional coding consultative experience requiredAHIMA or AAPC coding certification(s) in good standingProficiency in medical coding applicationsExceptional knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT and HCPCSDemonstrated experience in developing professional PowerPoint presentationsProficiency in Excel functions, formulas, and pivot tables

 

Skills & Abilities:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAttention to detail and problem-solving mindsetAbility to work effectively in diverse teamsCapacity to manage multiple projects and prioritiesCommitment to ongoing professional developmentProven experience in project management Additional Details

Wipfli values fair, transparent, and competitive compensation, considering each candidate's unique skills and experiences. The estimated base pay range for this role is $54,000 to $90,000, with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws. 

 

Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
