You will play a vital role in maximizing enrollment in Marketplace coverage while developing community partnerships to enhance outreach efforts. In this role, you will assist individuals and small businesses with insurance eligibility options, facilitate enrollment processes, and provide essential information to ensure consumers make informed decisions. You will engage with the community to recruit and support uninsured patients, serving as a vital link between health services and the community.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist individuals with insurance eligibility options and facilitate enrollment processes.Engage with small business employers and their employees to provide insurance information.Empower patients through effective communication and support in navigating healthcare systems.Troubleshoot barriers to healthcare adherence and connect patients to community resources.Build and maintain relationships within the community to improve access to healthcare services.Perform general support activities and carry out special projects as required.Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED with some college is required.Undergraduate Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health Nursing, Health Education, or a related field from an accredited school is preferred.Two (2) years of experience working in community health, human services outreach, and/or healthcare preferred.Desirable experience includes customer service, patient/peer coaching, medical patient interaction, community relations, outreach, data entry, and public speaking.

Additional Qualifications:

Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint check.Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.Must complete Navigator training and navigator licensure requirements within 1 month of employment.Adhere to conflict of interest standards and uphold Marketplace privacy and security standards.Must provide evidence that incumbent is free of infectious and contagious disease prior to beginning employment and annually thereafter.

Physical Requirements:

ADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift.Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
