Healthcare Intern Chateau

The Healthcare Intern (SHI) will learn aspects of healthcare administration with seasoned guidance from the Administrator, Department Heads and Consultants. The SHI provides non-clinical support and department head leadership to assigned Monarch Healthcare Management facilities, floating to facilities in need or assigned to one specific facility to gain perspective of operations with the goal of preparing to work in a department head or administration role.

The Healthcare Intern (HI) will learn aspects of healthcare administration with seasoned guidance from the Administrator, Department Heads and Consultants. The HI provides non-clinical support and department head leadership to assigned Monarch Healthcare Management facilities, floating to facilities in need or assigned to one specific facility to gain perspective of operations with the goal of preparing to work in a department head or administration role. Responsibilities of the Healthcare Intern are similar to the Administrator and/or department heads; please see attached Administrator job description addendum, outlining the Administrator role and responsibilities. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience

Current college (or high school) student with an interest in nursing home and department leadership

 

Preferred

Pursuing a degree leading to nursing home administration or leadershipPassionate about nursing home administration and/or leadership

 

Required Skills and Abilities

Leadership; achieves established goals through inspiration and loyalty of staffBusiness acumen; understands intertwining of departments and how resulting financial metrics demonstrate their effectivenessResilience; ability to welcome constructive feedback, course correct and not take it personallyMotivator; ability to ensure staff feel supported while ensuring accountability to work expectationsPersonability; ability to get along with all personality types and inspire trust with residents, staff, family and the communityHigh emotional intelligence (EQ)Ability to actively listen, with the goal of understandingAbility to clearly speak and proficiently read and write in EnglishAbility to travel as needed; may include overnight stays
