**Overview** Kimley-Horn's isseekinga Mechanical Engineer-In-Training with 2+ years of experience to join the Phoenix, AZ office's MEP Healthcare team! **Responsibilities** The ideal candidatewillhave experience in MEP design and engineering consulting,particularly within the healthcare industry. + Supportmechanicaldesign execution for various healthcare projects under the guidance of senior engineers + Prepare engineering calculations, system layouts, and equipment selections for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems + Assistin the preparation of cost proposals and project contracts, including add service agreements + Participate in MEP systems reviews, engaging with code officials, contractors, architects, and clients to drive compliance and quality. + Ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes and regulations + Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and contractors + Provide support to designers and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams **Qualifications** + 2+years of experience in MEP design andengineeringfor healthcare projects within anengineering consulting environment + Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems + Experience with design software such as Revit BIM, AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP, andEasypower + Proficiencyin national and local building codes, including NEC, State Energy Codes, NFPA guidelines, and FGI guidelines + Excellentcommunicationandorganizationalskills, with the ability tocollaborateeffectively on project teams + Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team + Strong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability + Willingness to learn and grow in a project managementcapacity **Why Kimley-Horn?** At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
