This internship aims to support education, professional development, research, and operational leadership for the Respiratory Care Service Line. The position will work alongside the Clinical Educator and other Respiratory Care leaders to help implement projects and tasks while working in a patient-care-focused department.
Internship projects for this position could include an internal newsletter for the service line, management of the service line Pulse page, patient care data analysis, research, financial spreadsheets, and equipment organization. The specific skillsets that we would like the intern to possess include excellent communication skills with an emphasis on written and verbal communication, relationship building, the ability to work independently, the ability to present in front of groups, Microsoft Office tools, and EMRs.
The schedule for this specific internship includes working Monday thru Friday, between 32-40 hours per week. This internship may have to travel to different Hospital and Educational Locations throughout the health system. A specific program or areas of study that best fits this internship includes Healthcare Administration, Public Relations, Public Health, and Healthcare Education.
Must be a current undergraduate college student or graduate college student. Specific educational focus or degree may be preferred depending on the hosting department of the internship. Specific license and/or certification may be preferred depending on the hosting department of the internship. GPA of 3.0 or above Submission of Cover Letter Resume and Letter of Recommendation.
