ATI is currently seeking a 3rd Shift Heat Treat Supervisor (2:30pm-11:30pm M-F) to join our facility located in Cudahy, WI. A Heat Treat Supervisor is responsible for supervising hourly employees on assigned shift in the operation of the Heat Treat Department. Schedules manpower and equipment in the most efficient manner to achieve the quality heat treatment of forged components while meeting customer schedules and minimizing costs.
+ Supervise hourly employees in the heat treating of carbon, alloy, and titanium forgings to assure compliance to customer and ATI specifications. Supervise the brinell testing of heat treated forgings to insure that they conform to requirements.
+ Maintain and train a workforce to perform the heat treat operations consistent with quality requirements in a cost-effective manner.
+ Coordinate scheduling of manpower and equipment with Department Scheduling dashboards and participation with Production Control at various meetings. Apply Synchronous Manufacturing principles to support planned schedules and customer delivery requirements.
+ Assist the Heat Treat Senior Leader in identify process improvements and capital expenditures which will reduce costs, improve quality, and, in general, enhance ATI Forged Products competitiveness.
+ Support Forge Shop Engineering and Die Design in investigating and implementing cost reductions and quality improvements through tooling, process, or equipment revisions. Initiate and follow through on corrective measure when necessary.
+ Assure compliance to ATI Forged Products quality requirements through application of ISO 9002/AS9100A systemic procedures and work instructions.
+ Assure Compliance to Industry and customer related heat treat specifications.
+ Promote employee involvement in problem solving and participation in Labor/Management Teams. Support Labor/Management Committee initiatives and cost reduction efforts.
+ Ensure the highest level of safety and good housekeeping in work environment through implementation of the ATI Forged Products Safety Program and personal example. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations issued by OSHA, EPA, DNR and other federal, state, and local regulator agencies.
+ Ensure harmonious relations between labor and management through consistent application of the labor agreement(s) and company policies. Administer approved disciplinary procedures as directed.
