Performs electrical, mechanical, plumbing and refrigeration installation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting and repair work. **Job Responsibilities and Requirements:** PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES + Performs inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all refrigerators and ice machines. + Complete projects on a timely basis and within budget parameters. + Maintains current and accurate records of all maintenance inspections and repairs in computerized maintenance management system and/or on appropriate forms. + Ensures work areas, equipment, and supplies are kept clean, orderly and safe. + Participates in processes that support continuous compliance with Joint Commission standards. + Communicates and works with clinical and support staff regarding maintenance requirements, potential impacts to operations, and coordination of activities. + Operates all mechanical equipment in the boiler room area including the emergency generator and cooling tower. + Installs and repairs electrical and plumbing equipment/systems as required. + Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. + Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION + High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience EXPERIENCE + No experience required PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS + Constant standing and walking. + Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. + Frequent reaching, gripping and keyboard use/data entry. + Frequent use of vision for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more). + Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc. + Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, crawling, kneeling, sitting, squatting, twisting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. + Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs. + Occasional use of vision to judge distances and spatial relationships and to identify and distinguish colors. + Rare use of smell to detect/recognize odors. + Rare driving.
