Requirements:
Participates in the continuous improvement process by making suggestions to Supervisors and Leads.
Ensures that all housekeeping requirements are met..
Individual must perform to Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Procedures to maintain material flow to internal and external customers.
Works closely with plant engineering, updating blueprints, coordinating the development of new process/ products and to effect improvements.
Complies with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and guidelines.
Complies with federal, state, and local heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) industry regulations and guidelines (for example, building codes and indoor air quality).
Promptly notifies production personnel of equipment or process malfunctions.
Performs preventative maintenance tasks such as cleaning coils, changing filters, and replacing motors.
Promptly refers unusual problems to Lead Electrician and/or Area Leader.
Installs new units or replacement parts for existing units according to specifications.
Must be able to independently analyze an electrical or HVAC problem and implement solutions.
Frequently lifts heavy material, up to 45lbs, frequently climbs stairs and ladders.
Performs required training and other craft related duties assigned to maintain the Elmore plant.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
Individual must have a High School Diploma or GED.
Must be able to work independently or as a member of a team to meet demands.
Must have 5+ years of industrial, commercial, and/or military electrical/HVAC maintenance experience, or a completed approved four year electrical/HVAC apprentice program.
EPA Universal Technician certification and an EPA Section 608 Certification preferred.
Must have a working knowledge of ISO9002 Quality System.
Will be required to subscribe to all training and /or associated competency assessment activities that have been determined to maintain or improve the efficiency of personnel in respective trade.
Must understand PC and PLC functions.
Must complete on the job training to understand the Plant Emergency, SPC and ERT procedures.
Individual works in all areas of the plant and on the roof.
Experience fabricating and installing ductwork is a benefit.
Must be able to read T/P charts and gauges.
Must possess basic computer skills, such as Microsoft Office products and email.
Must have good verbal and written skills.
Must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills to provide customer service.
The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
