About the Role
We are seeking Heavy Diesel Fitters to join our South Flank site in the Pilbara, on an 8/6 7/7 rotating days and night shift, fly in-fly out roster from Perth.
Based within our Mobile Equipment Maintenance team, your focus will be on servicing Trucks eg Haul Trucks, Water Carts, Floats, Service Trucks including CAT 930E-5 Haul trucks, Komatsu and Haulmax .
In your role, duties will include but are not limited to the following:
• Servicing, repairs, inspections, planned and breakdown maintenance on variety of equipment
• Initiating updates to work procedures to ensure they are accurate and relevant to equipment
• Providing input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and assist in the implementing of the new initiatives in a constructive way
• Committed to a focus on safety, achievement, collaborating and team engagement in all aspects of work
About You
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
• Australian Recognised Heavy Mechanical Qualifications
• Komatsu haul trucks and Cat 930E-5 experience highly desirable
• Demonstrated diagnostics and breakdown experience with ideally both trucks & ancillary equipment
• Dogging, Rigging and Forklift Licenses are desirable
• A commitment to safety, quality and attention to detail and procedure
• Computer literacy and/or experience in 1SAP
• C Class Drivers Licence
• Safety first mentality
About South Flank
South Flank is BHP's newest iron ore mine, and the biggest in 50 years. It expands existing infrastructure at Mining Area C, adding 80 Mtpa of new crushing and screening capacity, an extensive overland conveyor system, expanded stockyards and new train loading facilities to form the largest iron ore hub in the Pilbara region. Its brand-new mining fleet is the biggest and best in class, and has been converted to autonomous operation, in line with South Flank's future-facing design.
