Position Overview:The GSE Supervisor oversees the maintenance, repair, and operational readiness of ground support equipment at ORD. This leadership role ensures that the team of mechanics and technicians meets performance standards, adheres to safety protocols, and delivers exceptional service to support airport operations.
Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership:
Supervise, mentor, and manage a team of mechanics and technicians.Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback to ensure quality work.Maintenance Oversight:
Ensure scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.Perform quality checks to verify repairs meet safety and operational standards.Operational Coordination:
Collaborate with airport operations and other stakeholders to prioritize equipment needs.Ensure minimal downtime by proactively addressing maintenance issues.Inventory and Resource Management:
Coordinate with the Parts Agent to ensure availability of necessary parts and supplies.Optimize the use of tools, equipment, and manpower to achieve operational efficiency.Safety and Compliance:
Enforce adherence to all safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory standards.Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for team members.Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and employee performance.Generate reports and provide updates to management on operational performance and challenges.Qualifications:Experience:3+ years of experience in GSE maintenance or a related field, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.Technical Skills:In-depth knowledge of GSE systems and components.Proficiency in diagnostic tools and maintenance software.Leadership Skills:Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.Proven track record of managing teams and delivering results.Certifications:Relevant technical certifications (e.g., ASE, GSE-specific training) are a plus.Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred.What We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for professional growth and development.A collaborative and supportive work environment.Alliance Ground International is an equal opportunity employer.
