TalentWorld is recruiting a Heavy Duty Mechanic in Winnipeg, Manitoba for one of our clients.
Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles and heavy equipment, including trucks, trailers, and forklifts. Perform preventative maintenance and address mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Conduct off-site repairs and road-tests to ensure equipment safety and reliability. Complete welding tasks and maintain detailed repair records. Transport vehicles, equipment, and parts as needed. Keep the workspace clean and adhere to safety standards. Support team collaboration and continuous learning initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field (preferred). Minimum 4 years in heavy equipment or vehicle repair. Red Seal and Manitoba Safety Inspection Certification (preferred); Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (required). Proficient in diagnostics, hydraulic/electrical systems, and welding. Familiarity with shop management and diagnostic tools (e.g., Cummins Insite, CAT ET). Personal toolbox and CSA-standard safety footwear required. Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and organizational abilities. Employment Details Salary: Starting rate is $38.00HR Benefits: Permanent, full-time, 40 hours/week, onsite, with benefits and stability Schedule: Monday to Friday morning shifts.
