We're seeking an experienced and skilled Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to join our team. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various types of heavy equipment, including rock drills, excavators, skid steers, lifts, concrete pumps, some proprietary equipment and other types of heavy constrcution equipment.

This travelling position is based in Grand Junction, Colorado and requires signficant travel. The typical travel rotation is Monday-Friday, with overtime/weekends as needed.
ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy duty machines or mechanical components according to requirements and OEM sop’sInspect machines, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issuesConduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability and safe operations Correctly and efficiently troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely mannerPerform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems including pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, gearboxes, and communication softwareClean and apply lubricants to machinery componentsReplenish fluids and components of engines and machineryUndertake other duties as assigned (e.g. repair of hydraulic systems, welding, etc.)Keep logs of work and report on issues Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Valid Driver's license requiredExperience in repairing and maintaining heavy equipmentThe ability to travel up to 100% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of heavy construction equipment and repair experienceExperience working on railway equipment5+ years of hydraulics and electrical troubleshooting experienceCDL Driver's license strongly preferredLicensing/certification as a mechanicLocation: Grand Junction, CO
Compensation: $25/hr to $35/hr
