As a Field Mechanic you will be responsible for preventive maintenance, repairing, and emergency repairs for heavy construction equipment with a primary focus on hydraulics, electrical, pneumatic, engine (Gas and Diesel) troubleshooting systems and welding fabrication required. CMV driver qualification required.

Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance, repair and emergency repairs on RoadGuards fleet of equipment that involves heavy construction equipment, some proprietary equipment, and other smaller pieces of equipment.

Travel: Heavy regional travel, typically within 2-4 hours of home base.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

5+ years of heavy construction equipment and repair field experience required5+ years of hydraulics and electrical troubleshooting experience required5+ years of Diesel troubleshooting, and repair experience requiredExperience/certification to operate fork liftsThe ability to travel extensively for work regionallyWelding experience

Working in team environment: customer service-people skills

Licensing/certification as a mechanic highly desiredTrade School/College degree preferredCAT Certifications preferredKomatsu Certifications preferredHydraulic training preferredElectrical Training preferredAfter treatment troubleshooting training preferredHeavy equipment experiencePay Range: $30/Hr - $34/Hr
