W.T. Byler, a Quanta Services Company, is looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in the Houston, TX area to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on large heavy equipment machinery fleet.

What You'll Do Ensuring that project safety and health is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and procedures, including client standards and requirementsPerform equipment inspections and provide corresponding reports, including protective guards, loose bolts and safety devices on equipmentDismantle and repair heavy equipment including excavators, forklifts, loaders, dozers, motor graders, etc.Repair and lubricate equipment and heavy equipment Respond to service requests for field equipmentOrder required parts for equipment repairs and maintenanceOther duties as assigned What You'll Bring Minimum 2 years of experience as a heavy machinery mechanicAbility to work on Caterpillar, John Deere, Link Belt, Mitsubishi and other major equipment manufacturer machineryFabricating and welding experience a plusAbility to travel for extended project assignments and weekend work call-outs as neededHigh School diploma or general education degree (GED)Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test, background check and physicalCurrent, valid driver license What You'll Get
