Location Information
The Waterloo Blackhawk Transload Terminal stands out for having a covered railcar spot for transloading, warehouse space, and three storage domes. Switching services are available at this terminal, which handles both unit and manifest trains.
Position Description
Responsible for the safe operation of all equipment required in this position. Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment. Regularly communicate via 2-way radio with Supervisors, Team Members and customer. Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Follow written Dual verification procedures on all material movements. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirments
High school education or general education (GED) Must be 18 years or older 1 or more year(s) related experience required (mechanical, maintenance, equipment operating) Applicant must pass the General SOP testing, Heavy Equipment function test along with Team Member demonstration check list.
Skills and Abilities
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Learn from directions, observations, and mistakes and apply procedures using good judgment. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to work independently or as part of a team and interact appropriately with others. Ability to work in all types of weather. Ability to work the scheduled shifts required for the position and/ or overtime as needed.
