Job responsibilities:

The primary function of the JCB Operator is to operate a front-end loader in a safe and conscientious manner.Transport logs from the block process to the vats and from the water vats to the lathe.Works closely with management, Lathe Operator, Lathe Deck Operator, Block Saw Operator, and other members of thedepartment to maintain a proper flow of blocks from the block saw to the lathe.Operate the front-end loader to transport cores from the log yard to the CNS infeed, unload blockbins and transport blocks from the block bin to water vats.Unload water vats and transport blocks to the lathe infeed.The front-end loader is climate-controlled, either a bouncy or low impact ride may be experienced.Complete a daily mobile equipment checklist, add oil, water and refuel as necessary.

Ability to work with little direct supervision and be self-motivated. Ability to work closely with others; be a team player/leader; demonstrate good communication skills, and a positive attitude. Knowledge and willingness to use safety standards, lockout procedures and wear necessary PPE. Ability to maintain a clean workstation, and exhibit good performance, safety and attendance records. Willingness to work any shift, work on short notice, work overtime and weekends and rotate between jobs; as well as perform any job as specified by supervisor. Able to work in manufacturing environment to include climbing stairs and catwalks and the ability to work in extreme heat / cold.
